Raj encouraged me to think big when it came to our Management and Monitoring solutions at Baystate Health. He allowed me to explore many ideas and facilitated our teams learning of several technologies. Raj helped the team to accomplish several key goals by connecting the team with training opportunities, and providing the needed resources to accomplish the following: 1) Redeploy the SCOM monitoring solution to be resilient and more stable, the original deployment was unstable after multiple upgrades and needed a fresh new approach from the ground up 2) Spearheaded the CMDB Application Inventory to document the applications that Baystate Health uses and what computer systems are utilized by them. 3) Implement the ServiceNow Event Management connector to allow SCOM alerts and Events to flow into our CMDB, thereby providing our IT Partners with more information regarding their systems. 4) Expanded the ServiceNow Event Management to include Automations for Critical Incident generation based on low disk space alerts, unplanned server down alerts, and other targeted conditions as the organization identifies them 5) Implementation of old snapshot Incident generation and Missing Backup Tag Incidents to help ensure that SDDC VM's are managed for old snapshots and missing backup tags 6) ServiceNow Service Mapping implementation. Raj was instrumental in securing for the the team training and licensing for the Management & Monitoring team to document 20 of the organization's top tier applications electronically through the ServiceNow Service Mapping product. The team developed a repeatable process for intake and development of Application Service Maps which are presented on an Executive Dashboard. The Event Management module feeds the Service Maps with data for current information about the application and its systems.
