SVP & CIO at Baystate Health
"Raj is a very experienced technologist and architect. He has been instrumental in our organization's move towards a software driven and virtual architecture both ops and endpoints. Raj is a creative thinker and a technology enthusiast. He is a futurist with an eye towards how to manage change towards that horizon. Raj wore a number of hats during his tenure as he was needed in many capacities. He gladly took those challenges on and made an impact. Raj is also a terrific human being and has been a pleasure to know."
Senior IT Engineer at Baystate Health
"Raj encouraged me to think big when it came to our Management and Monitoring solutions at Baystate Health. He allowed me to explore many ideas and facilitated our teams learning of several technologies. Raj helped the team to accomplish several key goals by connecting the team with training opportunities, and providing the needed resources to accomplish the following: 1) Redeploy the SCOM monitoring solution to be resilient and more stable, the original deployment was unstable after multiple upgrades and needed a fresh new approach from the ground up 2) Spearheaded the CMDB Application Inventory to document the applications that Baystate Health uses and what computer systems are utilized by them. 3) Implement the ServiceNow Event Management connector to allow SCOM alerts and Events to flow into our CMDB, thereby providing our IT Partners with more information regarding their systems. 4) Expanded the ServiceNow Event Management to include Automations for Critical Incident generation based on low disk space alerts, unplanned server down alerts, and other targeted conditions as the organization identifies them 5) Implementation of old snapshot Incident generation and Missing Backup Tag Incidents to help ensure that SDDC VM's are managed for old snapshots and missing backup tags 6) ServiceNow Service Mapping implementation. Raj was instrumental in securing for the the team training and licensing for the Management & Monitoring team to document 20 of the organization's top tier applications electronically through the ServiceNow Service Mapping product. The team developed a repeatable process for intake and development of Application Service Maps which are presented on an Executive Dashboard. The Event Management module feeds the Service Maps with data for current information about the application and its systems."
Senior IT Director and CTO
"Raj has been a true asset on a number of initiatives, two of the most notable: Raj oversaw the implantation of VDI at a number of locations in our health system, most notably one of the Emergency Departments, which went smoothly and reviewed a lot of positive feedback from our clinicians. At our Insurance Arm, Raj oversaw the implementation of SDDC, from 'soup to nuts', retiring legacy infrastructure and starting them down their private cloud journey. During his tenure Raj tackled any initiative assigned to him with passion and commitment."
CTO at Health New England
"Raj has been in consulting role as Director for IT Infrastructure and Operations for the past 3 years evolving the organization with great passion. He formed a very strong infrastructure teams, strengthening the workforce training and redefining the budgets for growth. During this tenure, he spearheaded Digital Transformation initiatives such as “Private Cloud” using VMWare’s VCF (Hyperconvergence), Desktop virtualization (VDI) and ServiceNow/ITIL maturity across all departments and Window-10 migration & various Automations. Raj is instrumental in transforming HNE’s infrastructure as a poster-child to leading-edge implantations in Digital space."
IT Professional
"As our director, Raj believed in and supported our visions. Specifically when we made the pitch to replace our aging Windows Terminal Server environment with Horizon View and implement a dual site active/active Datacenter to provide High Availability to our server infrastructure - both of which have been successfully implemented! He also supported our newest Horizon build utilizing Cloud Pod Architecture (CPA), for an active/active design utilizing two sites. His support was paramount for our success as a team of only 4 people who were able to accomplish everything!"
Network Manager at Health New England
"Raj’s vision and support was instrumental in the success of our private Cloud implementation. He advocated our goal of enhancing the company’s digital infrastructure both from a capacity and availability perspective, by implementing a two site, active/active stretched Software Defined Data Center (SDDC). He also supported our efforts to layer VDI on top of our SDDC, again to great success."
Networks Manager at Baystate Health
"It was my pleasure to work with Raj as my director at Baystate Health. During this time, we had worked on numerous projects together, both large and small. Raj was the primary driving force behind some of our largest projects which included VMWare's Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Windows 10 readiness. Early on and with Raj's leadership and oversight, the teams were able to successfully deploy VDI in three major locations, Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Longmeadow Wellness Center, and Baystate's Contact Center. At Present we have over 5000 provision users of VDI and growing, as we continue the expansion of this platform. Raj has also guided the direction of the Windows 10 implementation in our environment, which has led us to the point of a stable deployment. In closing, Raj is a driver of innovation and ideas for the ever expanding technology in our field."
